Think India, since its inception in 2006, has conducted many national level conventions & summits. All these events had one common thread, an interactive session titled 'Real-life Role Models'. This session provides an opportunity to the students of premier national institutes to come face-to-face with the founders of social organisations, who have devoted their lives towards bringing about a social change in our society.
Interestingly, after every event, student delegates had sent mails and had expressed a desire to get opportunities in the future to work with these social leaders. These students also came forward and conducted similar sessions in their respective campus in association with Think India. Advisory member Dr. Varadraj Bapat, Faculty, IIT Bombay rightly said on need of such sessions in Think India saying 'all sessions are meant to [enlighten] the brains [of the delegates] while this Real-life Role Model session is the only session that touches the hearts of the people'
This became the genesis for starting the first edition of Anubhooti, which was launched in May 2012, so as to bring about a synergy between students of the top-most institutes of India and crusaders working for a social change at the grassroots.
Prof. Vivek Nigam, Dept of Economics, Allahabad University, then National Vice President of Akhil Bharatiya Vidhyarthi Parishad, was instrumental in preparing the initial concept note and naming of the internship.
The mighty word that came out from the sky of spirituality in India was 'Anubhooti’ and ours are the only books which declare again and again “The Lord is to be seen." Bold, brave words indeed, but true to their very core; every sound, every vibration is true. - SWAMI VIVEKANAND
